As my time in college is starting to wind down ( only 71 days until graduation day! ) I keep finding myself spending my free time looking through all the pictures and memories I’ve compiled over the past four years. My favorite app these days is TimeHop, because there’s some seriously funny things that pop up on there. It’s so much fun to look back and re-live those memories that have brought me to where I am today. The thing that has stood out to me so much while reflecting and looking back at all these things is how much I have changed. I think change is something that a lot of people are afraid of, and that most of us try to avoid at all costs. But I have always loved to embrace change. I have learned in my four years at college how to truly love and be myself through growing and changing. It’s something that I am constantly working on, as we all should. I have grasped the importance of prioritizing things in my life, and realized that it’s okay if I don’t give my full attention to every small detail. The biggest change I see in myself as I look back at those old pictures is how much I have learned to simplify. I have focused my attention to the things that I am truly passionate about, and want to spend my time on, and minimized the things that distract me from concentrating on what really matters to me.
There have been so many ups and downs these past four years, and I love the fact that I can look at my old instagram pictures and literally see the growth and change, like in the picture above, that I posted on my instagram two years ago. CHEERS to the next four years, and looking back on even more change and growth. ♥
I’d love to hear from you – what are some ways you have changed and grown in the past four years?
